Dalma Maradona Celebrates Anniversary with Husband Andrés Caldarelli

Dalma Maradona is marking eight years of marriage with Andrés Caldarelli. The daughter of the late Diego Maradona, Dalma has chosen to keep her private life largely out of the public eye. However, she occasionally shares glimpses into her personal life on special occasions.

From Schoolmates to Spouses

Dalma and Andrés’s connection began as schoolmates. However, Dalma was in another relationship at the time. “When I changed schools, to the school he (Caldarelli) was at, I had another boyfriend. We knew each other, but nothing happened because I had a boyfriend. Afterwards, we continued seeing each other outside of school. I broke up with my boyfriend and that’s when things started a bit,” she revealed.

Dalma admitted she was the one who initiated their romance. The couple officially began dating in 2013.

Five years later, on 31 March 2018, they celebrated their marriage at La Herencia, an estancia in Pilar. The wedding ceremony was not religious, but included a blessing of rings led by psychologist Lito Dorman.

Family Life and a Father’s Blessing

In March 2019, Dalma and Andrés welcomed their first daughter, Roma. Their second daughter, Azul, was born in June 2022. The couple have chosen to keep their daughters out of the public eye, protecting their privacy.

One anecdote involves Andrés, a River Plate fan, asking Diego Maradona for his daughter’s hand in marriage. Despite being a Boca Juniors fan, Diego Maradona gave his blessing. In October 2017, the former footballer shared a photo on Instagram of himself with Dalma as a child, writing: “There was once a young man named Andrés Caldarelli, who called his girlfriend’s father to ask for her hand. Gentlemen like my son-in-law no longer exist. I am very happy and proud to tell you that my daughter is getting married.”

This gesture was celebrated by Maradona’s followers and the public.

Now, eight years after their wedding, Dalma Maradona has shared a romantic message dedicated to her husband.
