Corey Day Secures First NASCAR O’Reilly Series Pole at Rockingham

Corey Day secured his first NASCAR O’Reilly Series pole at Rockingham Speedway.

Both No. 17 driver Corey Day and crew chief Adam Wall maintained that track position will be the most important thing in this weekend’s race at Rockingham Speedway.

They will have that advantage when the green flag falls on Saturday.

Day’s Scorching Qualifying Lap

Day turned in a lap of 22.717 seconds in Friday’s qualifying session. This secured the first pole award of his NOAPS career.

“It felt really good. We’ve got a really, really good car,” Day said after his run. “Thanks to my guys, it always makes my job easy when it’s that good. Super excited for the race tomorrow, definitely in a good spot and I think track position is going to be pretty crucial.”
