Colorado Rockies Home Opener: Weather Outlook for Denver

Denver is set for the Colorado Rockies home opener amidst cooler and windier conditions.

While it will be sunny across downtown Denver, those attending should prepare for fluctuating temperatures. The morning will see temperatures in the 30s as kids head to school. By the afternoon, temperatures are expected to reach the 50s around school pickup time.

It’s about 5 to 7 degrees below normal.

Red Flag Warning in Eastern Colorado

The eastern half of Colorado is under a red flag warning. This warning is in effect from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. Wind gusts could reach up to 45 mph.

Despite the dryness, it’s not particularly warm.

Mountain Snow and Weekend Forecast

The mountains are expected to accumulate an additional 1 to 2 inches of snow by Friday afternoon. A more pleasant weekend is anticipated. Saturday should bring bluebird conditions with low 60s.

The fresh powder in the mountains will make for a beautiful weekend.

Easter Sunday and Next Week’s Weather

Easter Sunday will be mild, with temperatures approaching 70. Warmer weather is expected to continue into next week. The next chance for showers appears towards the end of next week.
