Cheltenham Festival: No Drama This End Highlighted in Turners Novices’ Hurdle

The upcoming Turners Novices’ Hurdle at Prestbury Park is generating buzz. Part of the Cheltenham Festival, the race is set to take place over two miles and five furlongs on the old course. The first race on the card is at 1.20pm.

Panel’s Perspective on No Drama This End

No Drama This End is currently leading the market. According to the Paul Nicholls team, this horse has drawn comparisons to Denman. However, it’s worth remembering that Denman was defeated in this race by Nicanor.

Concerns have been raised about the ground conditions for No Drama This End. It is thought that the ground was too quick for him in the Challow. Hopes are that softer ground, should rain arrive, would be more suitable. There’s also a feeling that the crowd could help gee him up, as he can be a bit lazy.

The horse’s staying power is considered a strength, particularly if there’s significant juice in the ground.

Skylight Hustle: A Strong Contender

Skylight Hustle is another horse drawing attention. He’s a winner of two of his four starts under rules, in addition to his point-to-point success. Over hurdles, he’s two from three, with his only defeat coming at Gowran when he finished second behind Thedeviluno.

Since that race, Skylight Hustle has shown consistent improvement. He secured a win in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle and then the Grade 1 Future Champions over two miles. While Talk The Talk appeared to be on the verge of victory, Skylight Hustle’s jumping and attitude proved decisive.

Although Skylight Hustle may not possess the sheer pace of the top two-mile novice hurdlers, the Turners race seems to be a good fit for him.

Other Horses in the Mix

King Rasko Grey and Ballyfad are also among those in contention for the Turners Novices’ Hurdle.

The team also considered Doctor Steinberg, but he’s heading to the Albert Bartlett.
