Champions League Games: Amazon Prime to Show Arsenal and Liverpool

Football fans in the UK will see changes in how Champions League games are broadcast, with Amazon Prime securing rights to some matches.

Amazon Prime to Stream Arsenal vs Sporting

Arsenal fans keen to watch their team’s Champions League quarter final first leg against Sporting will need to subscribe to Amazon Prime. The game in Portugal will be available on the streaming service, breaking from the usual broadcasters. TNT Sports and Sky have previously shown Premier League and Champions League games featuring The Gunners this year, but have missed out on this tie.

Amazon Prime will stream the game from 6.30pm. Fans can either sign up for a free trial or a full monthly subscription at £8.99 to watch. The 30-day free trial is available for those without an existing Amazon account.

Amazon will also provide an exclusive match preview. Pundits and commentary will be provided by Amazon’s team of ex-footballers.

Liverpool’s Second Leg Also on Amazon

Amazon’s Champions League coverage extends to other high-profile matches. Liverpool’s second leg against PSG will also be shown on Amazon Prime next week.

Amazon will also show a Tuesday night pick for the semi-final Champions League games.

TNT Sports Still in the Mix

The second leg between Arsenal and Sporting at The Emirates will be shown on TNT Sports. TNT Sports has moved to its new home on HBO Max. Fans with an Amazon account can add a TNT monthly pass to their subscription.

TNT Sports will broadcast several other key Champions League games. Real Madrid’s tie against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night, Liverpool’s first leg against PSG and the fourth quarter final first leg between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night will all be shown on TNT Sports in the UK.

Future Broadcasting Rights

  • Amazon won the rights to broadcast one Champions League game a week in a four-year deal in 2025.
  • Amazon will continue to choose a game from each round for the next three years.

The broadcasting landscape will change again in 2027. Paramount replaces TNT in the UK as the official broadcaster of the majority of Champions League games from 2027.
