The Detroit Pistons are set to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals series. The Pistons return to Detroit after two difficult games in Cleveland. They will be looking to take the lead in the series.
Pistons Aim to Capitalise on Home Advantage
Detroit had a 2-0 series lead but let it slip away in three days. This was punctuated by a 112-103 Game 4 loss. Cleveland dominated the third quarter. Donovan Mitchell tied a postseason record for most points scored in a half with 39 second-half points.
The Pistons only attempted 12 free throws compared to the Cavaliers’ 34. Turnovers and bad play also contributed to the loss.
The good news for the Pistons is they’ve won their last five playoff games at Little Caesars Arena. The Cavs have yet to win a road game in these playoffs. Home-court advantage has been vital in these playoffs for Detroit.
Health Concerns for Detroit
Health is a concern for Detroit. Three Pistons are listed as questionable for Game 5.
