Carmelo Anthony Recalls Playing Basketball with Barack Obama

Carmelo Anthony has recounted his experience playing basketball with Barack Obama.

The Presidential Pickup Game

Anthony received a call inviting him to play in a basketball game with Obama. He was told that Obama needed a shooter and wanted him to be there. Anthony described it as being summoned.

The game took place at a location Anthony believes was either Navy or another similar campus, not at the White House. LeBron James was also present, along with some older and younger players. They were just there having a good time playing pick up.

Guarding the President

Anthony addressed the topic of guarding Obama during the game. He said, “You guard him but you just can’t touch him.”

Anthony referred to Obama as “Barry” or “Bo” when on the court.
