Milwaukee Bucks fans travelled across the country for the final home game of what they acknowledged was an underwhelming season.
Some fans made the journey hoping to see Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Fans Travel from New York and Arkansas
Ventre Woolery travelled from New York to see the team for his birthday weekend, with tickets from his girlfriend. Colt Jerry and his family drove from Texarkana, Arkansas.
Being at the game was a dream for Jerry and a present from his mother, after he had been asking her to go to Milwaukee for the last three years.
Hoping to See Antetokounmpo
Both fans wondered if this game would be the last time they see Giannis Antetokounmpo wearing a Bucks jersey.
Woolery said he would always be a Bucks fan and would support Antetokounmpo, but not become a fan of any team.
‘Ride or Die, Baby’
Jerry said that he will always be a Bucks fan. “Absolutely all the way through, ride or die, baby,” Jerry said.
Jerry believes that the Bucks can accomplish anything if they put their minds to it. He added that the Bucks have had great players in the past, like Sidney Moncrief, Ray Allen, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Woolery said compared to a lot of teams, the Bucks are a smaller market team, but he feels like the fan base doesn’t seem small market or like a small team, and that the love is really big.
These out-of-state fans will always back the Bucks, whether Antetokounmpo stays or goes, and whether the team wins or loses.
