Bolton Wanderers return to the Toughsheet Community Stadium for a match against Wycombe. The Whites are currently enjoying a ten-game unbeaten run.
Last time out, Steven Schumacher’s side scored five past Exeter City. Sam Dalby, Johnny Kenny, Thierry Gale, Ibrahim Cissoko and George Johnston all found the net last Saturday.
Wycombe’s Recent Form
Wycombe are on a run of three successive victories. In those matches, they have scored seven goals and conceded just one. The Chairboys recently put three past both Stevenage and Burton Albion at Adams Park.
In their last match, Wycombe secured a 1-0 away win against Barnsley on Tuesday night. Former Bolton midfielder Aaron Morley scored the winner just before the hour mark.
Manager Quotes Ahead of the Game
Steven Schumacher acknowledged the difficulty of every game in the league. He noted Wycombe’s good form and their position in the top six. Schumacher highlighted Aaron Morley as a key player for Wycombe, adding that he watched them on Tuesday night at Barnsley and thought “they controlled that game, they probably should have won it by more than one.”
Schumacher added, “They will know that we are in good form, we’re unbeaten in 10 and we’re playing well too, so it should be a good game and I’m really looking forward to it.
Wycombe Wanderers Manager Michael Duff stated, “They’re a big club at this level, and a top, top team. With the run they’re on at the minute and the recruitment they did in January, they’re only getting stronger, and they can hurt you in every way from open play and set plays.”
Duff added, “Their manager has been at a higher level and won this league before, and there’ll be 20,000 home fans there, so we know the challenge ahead, but we’re in a decent place too and we’ll go there looking to impact the game in the way that we want to and hopefully get a positive result.”
