Bartoli Urges Raducanu to Emulate Sabalenka’s Coaching Stability

Marion Bartoli has suggested that Emma Raducanu should take inspiration from Aryna Sabalenka’s coaching setup by staying with a coach for a longer duration.

Bartoli Highlights Sabalenka’s Coaching Success

Bartoli, a former Wimbledon champion and Sky Sports analyst, believes that Raducanu could benefit from the stability Sabalenka has found with her long-term coach. Sabalenka has enjoyed considerable success with a consistent team, including coach Anton Dubrov, fitness coach Jason Stacy, hitting partner Andrei Vasilevski, and fiance Georgios Frangulis. The addition of Max Mirnyi, a former Grand Slam doubles and mixed doubles champion, has also added variety to her game since last August.

Sabalenka recently completed the ‘Sunshine Double’ by winning the Miami Open final against Coco Gauff, following her victory at Indian Wells. Her stable team has contributed to multiple Grand Slam titles and her rise to world No 1.

Following her split from Roig, Raducanu stated that she is content working with her hitting partner Alexis Canter. Raducanu retained Canter as part of her setup, as well as working with Petchey at Indian Wells.

Bartoli said: “For Emma to keep changing coaches is a difficult topic because you need to have some sort of stability. When you look at the coaching system, Sabalenka has had the same coach for such a long period of time and I think for Emma it’s about trying to find the right fit!”

Raducanu’s Upcoming Tournament

Raducanu is scheduled to participate in the Upper Austria Ladies Linz, which will be held from April 6-12. The tournament will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Tennis.

Raducanu’s next tournament in Romania saw her reach her first final since her victory in New York in 2021.

Bartoli added: “I do strongly believe she will need to find someone she can trust for a.
