Geno Smith is heading back to the New York Jets. The Jets traded for Smith, sending a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for Smith and a 2026 seventh-rounder. Smith renegotiated his contract to facilitate the trade.
The New York Giants have hired John Harbaugh to help them win in the offseason. Harbaugh will make the final call on how to apply the team’s restricted salary-cap space. He will determine which free agents to sign and which to let play for someone else.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are set to host the Columbus Blue Jackets at Benchmark International Arena. This game marks Tampa Bay’s only home game against Columbus this season. The Lightning are seeking their first victory against the Blue Jackets in the 2025-26 season.
Former Chelsea player Jason Cundy has described Reece James as a “bulldozer” with the “touch of a ballet dancer.” Cundy’s comments come as James returns from injury issues and prepares for a key role for Chelsea. The club faces PSG in the Champions League.
Kai Kroeger, the New Orleans Saints’ starting punter in 2025, has been traded to the Houston Texans. The Saints traded Kroeger for a pick swap in a future NFL draft, acquiring a sixth-round pick in 2028 from the Texans in exchange for their seventh-rounder the same year.

The Green Bay Packers have released Elgton Jenkins, a move that will net the team more than $19.5 million in additional salary cap space for this season. Jenkins, who is 30, had one year remaining on his contract. The Packers informed Jenkins of his release one day after signing Sean Rhyan to a contract.
