More than 120 runners participated in East Kent Mind’s Rise and Run event in Whitstable last Sunday. The 5k run raised over £2,500 for the charity’s mental health services. Harrison White was the first runner to cross the finish line.
George Russell’s retirement from the Canadian Grand Prix has dealt a significant blow to his championship aspirations. The retirement handed the win to his Mercedes team-mate, Kimi Antonelli, who now holds a 43-point lead in the drivers’ championship. Russell acknowledged that Antonelli’s lead means “it’s his to lose.”

The competition features elite athletes aiming to break world records in track, weightlifting, and swimming. Some $25m in prize money is up for grabs, with a $1m bonus for world records in certain events.
Kristian Gkolomeev broke the world record in the men’s 50m free at the Enhanced Games. The Greek swimmer’s 20.81-second swim earned him $250,000 for first place and a $1 million bonus. Fred Kerley competed but fell short of a world record.

The judge confirmed her tentative ruling that Tatis’ legal challenge came too late. Tatis now reportedly owes the Big League Advance Fund just under $3.74 million.
