Kimi Antonelli has taken the lead in the Chinese Grand Prix, showcasing the pace of the Mercedes cars. Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto are performing well for Alpine, while McLaren are having a disastrous start to the season. Four cars are already out of the race.
Despite a Mercedes 1-2 in Melbourne, there was optimism for Ferrari’s chances this season. Lewis Hamilton was very upbeat after the race because there were plenty more positives than negatives for the Scuderia after the season opener. Lando Norris is facing a potential pitlane start at the Chinese Grand Prix due to an electronic issue. McLaren is working to rectify the problem. This comes after Oscar Piastri’s crash in Melbourne.
