The UK’s first indoor football skills park, Footy Nation, has opened in Southport. Created by Michelle and Matthew Ball, the park features skill-based challenges and interactive football games. Footy Nation has created nearly 40 jobs for local people.
Golden State Warriors wing Moses Moody sustained a noncontact left knee injury during the team’s 137-131 overtime victory against the Dallas Mavericks. Moody required a stretcher to leave the court. He will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.
The Los Angeles Lakers have started the bidding process for a new jersey patch sponsor, set to begin with the 2026–27 NBA season. This move signals the end of their five-year agreement with Bibigo, valued at over $100 million. The Lakers are inviting bids for what they describe as a category-defining sponsorship.
The New York Giants have signed defensive lineman Sam Roberts. Roberts, originally drafted by New England in 2022, has played for the Patriots, Panthers, and Falcons. He most recently played in five games last season before being placed on injured reserve.

Kristaps Porziņģis left the Golden State Warriors’ loss to the Detroit Pistons with lower back spasms. He said he will “probably” miss the game against the Atlanta Hawks. Porziņģis first felt his back tightening in the first quarter.
