Anton Frondell, a top prospect for the Chicago Blackhawks, is set to make his NHL debut against the New York Islanders. The 18-year-old will join Chicago’s top line alongside Connor Bedard and feature on the first power play unit. Coach Jeff Blashill believes Frondell is ready for the challenge.

Mohamed Salah has announced he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season. The 33-year-old confirmed the news in a video message on his social media accounts. Salah signed a new two-year contract with Liverpool in April 2025 but will leave on a free transfer after the club said they had “reached an agreement” over his future.

Plans to almost triple the size of the Wimbledon tennis site have moved a step closer after the High Court ruled the development was not restricted by land-use rules. The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club wants to build 38 new tennis courts and an 8,000-seat stadium by developing a former golf course. Campaign group Save Wimbledon Park argued a statutory trust existed, meaning the land had to be kept as a public space.
Joe Flacco is still available after the initial weeks of free agency, with a return to Cincinnati a possibility. The Bengals have signed Josh Johnson to add depth behind Joe Burrow. Cincinnati seem willing to wait and see if Flacco finds employment elsewhere.
