Leclerc Slams F1 Rules After Japanese Grand Prix Qualifying

Charles Leclerc has criticised Formula 1’s new qualifying rules after a mistake during qualifying at the Japanese Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver qualified fourth at Suzuka, more than 0.6 seconds behind Kimi Antonelli. Leclerc said the new rules no longer reward risk taking, and instead put an emphasis on consistency from lap to lap.

British Ice Skating has appealed the decision, calling the deduction “incorrect”. Fear and Gibson finished fourth, 0.22 of a point behind Americans Emilea Zingas and Vadym Kolesnik.
