Federico Valverde is taking on increased responsibility for Real Madrid following Toni Kroos’s retirement. The last time Valverde played Bayern Munich, his team nearly faced Champions League elimination. Valverde now wears the number 8 shirt, previously worn by Kroos.

Cameron Norrie defeated Miomir Kecmanovic in the first round of the Monte Carlo Masters. The British number one secured the win with a 6-2 4-6 7-6 (7-0) victory. Norrie will face Alex de Minaur in the next round.
Paula Badosa has received a wildcard for the WTA 500 tournament in Linz. The aim for Badosa, who was once ranked number two in the world, is to secure a spot in the main draw of Roland Garros. Mirra Andreeva has also joined the Linz Open.
Aston Martin’s struggles in Formula 1 are not solely attributable to the Honda engine. A significant portion of their time deficit is due to issues with the car’s chassis. The team’s principal, Adrian Newey, has acknowledged the car is lacking.
