Tennis star Aryna Sabalenka is preparing to walk down the aisle after announcing her engagement to entrepreneur Georgios Frangulis a week ago.
Sabalenka was spotted wearing a veil and tossing a bouquet while warming up for a practice match during the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California.
Sabalenka’s Bridal Practice
Photos show Sabalenka pairing the tulle headpiece and flowers with a black Nike tank and shorts. Her fiancé, Frangulis, was also photographed putting the veil on himself, layering it on top of a baseball cap.
Sabalenka wore a black Nike tank emblazoned with the brand’s signature swoosh logo, matching athletic shorts, and a white sports bra.
The Engagement Announcement
The tennis champion and Frangulis announced their engagement on March 4 with a series of sweet Instagram portaits.
“I can finally call him something else… FIANCÉ,” Sabalenka wrote in the caption of the couple’s joint post.
The Ring
In her engagement photos, Sabalenka sported a white tank and low-rise jeans while showcasing her stunning 12-carat diamond ring.
According to The Daily Mail, the ring was designed by Isabela Grutman, who worked with Frangulis for months to create the custom sparkler. The ring is set in platinum and features an oval-cut center stone flanked by tiny emeralds.
Experts recently told InStyle that Sabalenka’s ring could be worth up to $1 million.
“The brand curves inward with micro-pavé diamonds and a sculptural precision that feels both architectural and fluid,” said Pamela Catlett, chief brand officer at Brilliant Earth. “A natural stone of this size and quality could be valued at $1 million.”
Olivia Landau, founder and chief executive officer of The Clear Cut, estimated its value between $500,000 and $1 million.
“It is the perfect combination of traditional and modern,” she told InStyle. “The classic pavé solitaire leans into modern trends with its subtle curved band detail and the hidden pop of green.”
