Arizona Wildcats Fans Unhappy with Football Seating Changes

The University of Arizona’s decision to alter the seating arrangements at the Casino Del Sol Stadium has sparked frustration among its loyal fanbase.

Sideline Switch Causes Uproar

The university has announced that, beginning this upcoming football season, the home bench will be relocated from the east sideline to the west sideline. This change directly impacts seating arrangements for a number of fans, including 40 season ticket holder accounts.

According to a statement from the University of Arizona, this decision necessitated relocating the football player family and guest section. The university stated that no seats were removed from the venue.

Season Ticket Holders Voice Concerns

Several season ticket holders have voiced their discontent, saying they were only recently informed about the relocation. They also noted that while alternative seats have been offered, these come at a higher price.

John Siegel, a long-time season ticket holder, expressed his disappointment at being separated from fellow fans he has grown close to over the years. He has had the same seats for over 40 years.

“You’re kind of a family, you know. And then everyone is just going to be torn up,” Siegel said.

A Fan Considers His Future

Siegel is now contemplating whether to renew his tickets for the next season. He has been attending Wildcats games for decades.

“There ought to be a place that we can get tickets or get seats that are comfortable and workable for everybody,” John Siegel said.

The seating changes have clearly ruffled feathers among some of the University of Arizona’s most dedicated supporters.
