French World Cup-winning forward Antoine Griezmann is set to join Orlando City from Atlético Madrid. The 35-year-old has signed a two-year Designated Player contract, with a club option for the 2028-29 campaign.
Griezmann will complete the current season with Atlético Madrid. He is scheduled to join Orlando when the summer transfer window opens on July 13.
The deal is contingent on Griezmann passing a medical. He must also receive his International Transfer Certificate and a P-1 visa.

Throughout his club career, Griezmann has won several titles. These include the UEFA Europa League (2017-18), UEFA Super Cup (2018), and Spanish Supercopa (2014) with Atlético de Madrid. He also won the Copa del Rey (2020-21) with Barcelona and the LaLiga 2 title (2009-10) with Real Sociedad.
