Alex Palou capitalised on quick pit work and pure pace to secure victory at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Driving the No. 10 OpenAI Chip Ganassi Racing Honda, Palou earned his third victory in five races this season. It was also the 22nd victory of his career and his first Long Beach win.
Palou Extends Series Lead
Palou beat Felix Rosenqvist, who started on pole in the No. 60 SiriusXM/Acura Honda, by 3.9663 seconds. Palou now leads the series by xx points as he aims for his fifth series championship and fourth in a row.
Dixon on the Podium
Scott Dixon, a six-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion, finished third in the No. 9 PNC Chip Ganassi Racing Honda. This result marked Dixon’s best finish of the season.
Top Five Finishers
Kirkwood finished fourth in the No. 27 JM Bullion / Gold.com Honda of Andretti Global. Pato O’Ward completed the top five, placing fifth in the No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet. The race ran caution-free for 90 laps.
