Ajay Mitchell Set to Return for OKC Thunder Against Nuggets

The OKC Thunder have announced that Ajay Mitchell will be available for their home game against the Denver Nuggets.

The game is scheduled for Monday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Mitchell’s Return After Injury Layoff

Ajay Mitchell is returning after missing the last 20 games. His absence was due to a combination of an abdominal strain and a left ankle sprain.

The sophomore guard has career highs this season. He’s averaging 14.1 points, 3.7 assists and 3.5 rebounds. Mitchell is shooting 48.7% from the field and 35% from deep.

OKC’s Injury List

OKC will continue to be without several players. Jalen Williams (right hamstring strain), Isaiah Hartenstein (left calf contusion) and Branden Carlson (low back strain) are all unavailable on Monday. Chet Holmgren (flu) and Alex Caruso (left hip contusion) are also listed as questionable.

Mitchell’s Impact on the Thunder

OKC (50-15) will gain another playmaker and shot creator with Mitchell’s return. He has also made strides defensively. This makes him one of the more well-rounded players on the roster at only 23 years old.
