Adam Forshaw Expresses Desire to Extend Blackburn Rovers Stay

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Adam Forshaw has stated his desire to remain at the club. Forshaw’s current contract is set to expire this summer.

Forshaw’s Form and Future

Forshaw says ‘he’s loved it here’ after enjoying a run of eight games in the team. He told BBC Radio Lancashire he is loving being back in the team and is going through a decent spell.

In the recent match against Stoke City, Forshaw scored his first goal of the season. Blackburn drew 1-1 with Stoke City on Saturday.

Forshaw is looking forward to playing in-form Southampton tonight.

Blackburn’s League Position

Blackburn Rovers are currently four points above the relegation zone. Forshaw stated that he would swap his good form for the club to be in a good position.

He added, “We’ve put ourselves in a decent position but obviously I want us to be safe as soon as possible.”
Ultimately, Forshaw believes they are in a better position than a few of the others, so as long as they win, they will be alright.

Contract Extension

Despite his contract running out this summer, the 34-year-old is not ruling out an extension at Ewood Park.

Forshaw said he has a great relationship with everyone involved with the squad. He added that he has settled really well and thinks the people are great. “I’d love to stay.”
