Friendship with Ella Toone
New friendships were formed, and Abbie McManus reconnected with Ella Toone, who she’d first met at City. According to McManus, Toone didn’t get a contract at the age of 18, but had an offer to stay. McManus encouraged Toone by saying, ‘you can’t do that, you’re too good’, adding that it was the best decision she ever made.
McManus and Toone are close friends. McManus helped Toone move house recently.
