Sinner’s Road to the Semi-Final
Sinner had three consecutive aces to hold serve to love. Zverev held his serve to reduce Sinner’s lead. Sinner faced difficulties on his serve, but managed to consolidate a break after a strong exchange.
Sinner, after a first-round bye, reached the semi-final without dropping a set. His previous results include a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Damir Dzumhur, 6-1, 6-4 against Corentin Moutet, 7-5, 7-6 against Alex Michelsen, and 6-2, 6-2 against Frances Tiafoe.
Zverev’s Performance
Zverev was aggressive in the exchange early on, but Sinner came back from 0-30 to hold his first service game with four straight points. Zverev knows he needs to stay inside the court to have a chance against Sinner. He held his serve to love thanks to his forehand.
Zverev also reached the semi-final without losing a set. He defeated Alejandro Tabilo 6-2, 6-4, Alexander Bublik 6-4, 7-5, Christopher Eubanks 7-6, 6-3 and Francisco Cerundolo 6-4, 6-3.

Sinner recovered from 0-30 in the first set, hitting an ace and a winning serve. He then missed a backhand, giving Zverev a break point, but saved it with a good first serve and eventually held. Sinner found himself 0-30 down again on Zverev’s serve, but raised his level and earned a break point, converting it with a forehand down the line.
Zverev held his serve to 15, reducing the deficit. Sinner was serving for the first set at 5-3. Zverev made an error on a forehand at 30-30 to give Sinner a set point, which Sinner took with a winning serve.
Lehecka Awaits in the Final
Jiri Lehecka has already secured his place in the Miami final. The 24-year-old Czech defeated Arthur Fils in the semi-final with a score of 6-2, 6-2. Lehecka, currently ranked number 22 in the world, will face the winner of Sinner versus Zverev.
Sinner and Zverev are facing each other for the third consecutive time in a Masters 1000 semi-final, following Paris 2025 and Indian Wells. Sinner won on both previous occasions without much difficulty.
