Red Wings Extend Jacob Bernard-Docker’s Contract for Two Years

The Red Wings have secured Jacob Bernard-Docker for the next two seasons.

The team on Wednesday signed the defenceman to a two-year extension, worth $3.2 million.

Bernard-Docker’s new contract carries a $1.6 million hit against the salary cap through the 2027-28 NHL season.

Bernard-Docker’s Career So Far

The 25-year-old has found a home on Detroit’s blue line, averaging 15 minutes of ice time over 55 games.

The Red Wings are his third team in the league. He previously played 129 games with the Ottawa Senators and finished last season with the Buffalo Sabres.

Bernard-Docker was a first-round pick in the 2018 draft.
