Dennis Rodman, the former NBA star, is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Sources confirmed the news on Friday.
Rodman, known for his time with the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls, will be honoured for his contributions to professional wrestling. He is a five-time NBA champion.
Rodman’s Foray into Wrestling
Rodman’s professional wrestling career includes four matches. Three of these matches were in WCW.
His WCW debut was in 1997. In 1998, he famously skipped an NBA Finals practice to appear on “WCW Monday Nitro”.
During that appearance, he set up a tag team match. He partnered with Hulk Hogan to face Diamond Dallas Page and Karl Malone.

WWE has a celebrity wing in its Hall of Fame. Other sports figures such as Pete Rose, William Perry, Bob Uecker, Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali have been inducted.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will be held April 17 in Las Vegas. It is part of WrestleMania weekend.
Rodman was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.
