Sir Geoff Hurst to Host Residency on P&O Cruises Britannia

England football legend Sir Geoff Hurst is set to embark on a unique ‘audience with’ residency aboard P&O Cruises Britannia this spring. The cruise will be a four-night engagement. Hurst, the only man to score a World Cup Final hat-trick, will give guests a rare opportunity to hear stories from his career.

An Audience with a Legend

The residency will take place across four consecutive evenings from Ponta Delgada in Portugal on Monday, March 30. Sir Geoff will take to the stage in the Limelight Club for a Q&A session. He will cover his career, including lifting the Jules Rimet trophy at Wembley and his 500 appearances with West Ham, along with aspects of his life off the pitch.

Each appearance in the 180-guest venue will allow guests to ask questions of the football legend.

Hurst’s Thoughts on the Cruise

Sir Geoff said he has always enjoyed sharing his memories with fans. He added that doing so on board Britannia, with people relaxing on holiday, is something he is looking forward to. Hurst stated that the 1966 World Cup was a momentous occasion and he enjoys reliving those memories.
