Cavaliers Face Bucks Amid Injury Concerns for Key Players

The Milwaukee Bucks will host the Cleveland Cavaliers in an Eastern Conference clash.

Milwaukee enters the game with a 28-39 record, having defeated the Indiana Pacers at home on Sunday night. Cleveland, meanwhile, holds a 41-27 record but is coming off a home loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.

Bucks Without Antetokounmpo

The Bucks will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo due to a left knee hyperextension and bone bruise. He is expected to be out for at least one week.

In the Bucks’ recent victory over the Pacers, Antetokounmpo had 31 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists. Bobby Portis also contributed 29 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

With Antetokounmpo sidelined, Portis, Jericho Sims and Kyle Kuzma could see increased roles.

Myles Turner is listed as questionable for the Bucks with a right calf strain. Ousmane Dieng is also questionable with an illness. There is a chance he could return from a two-game absence.

Allen Sidelined for Cavaliers

The Cavaliers have five players listed on their injury report. Jarrett Allen has been ruled out due to right knee tendinitis. He will miss his sixth consecutive contest and is expected to miss the Cavaliers’ entire three-game road trip.

Tyrese Proctor is out with a right quad strain. Craig Porter Jr. is out with a left groin strain.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers in Sunday’s loss with 26 points and 11 assists. Max Strus recorded 24 points and eight rebounds off the bench.

With Allen sidelined, Thomas Bryan, Strus and Keon Ellis could continue to have larger roles.

Jaylon Tyson has been listed as probable and is expected to return after missing Sunday’s loss due to an ankle injury. Sam Merrill is questionable due to left hamstring tightness.
