Didi Hamann Assesses Potential Bayern Munich vs Arsenal Rematch

Bayern Munich’s loss to Arsenal is still being discussed by fans.

Didi Hamann has offered his assessment of a potential rematch between Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

Hamann’s View on a Bayern Munich vs Arsenal Rematch

Hamann stated, “I would favor Bayern Munich over two games” if they get back to their form. He added that the first game between the two was “breathtaking”.

He noted that the two clubs can only play in the final now with the draw.

Arsenal’s Premier League Title Ambitions

Hamann discussed Arsenal’s Premier League title aspirations. “For the Arsenal players, they haven’t been Premier League champions,” Hamann said.

He believes that Arsenal’s earlier performance in the season was intended to demonstrate their capabilities. “If you want to come back and maybe beat us in the knockout stages, you’re in for a game,” Hamann suggests was the message Arsenal wanted to send.

Bayern Munich’s Current Form

Hamann also commented on Bayern Munich’s form since their game against PSG. He said, “Bayern hasn’t been the same team since. Since PSG, the performances haven’t been that dominant.”
They have “dropped a few points in the league as well,” according to Hamann. Hamann believes Bayern Munich are “not firing as they did in the autumn”.

Manchester City’s Title Experience

Hamann touched on Manchester City’s ability to win the league. “It’s not the City we used to see, but they find a way of winning games and they know how to win the league,” Hamann stated.

He added, “They know how to win titles because they’ve got some Premier League winners in the ranks. So yeah, I think it’s game on.”

Hamann’s analysis suggests that the Premier League title race is far from over, even though he doesn’t think Man City are great.

Should Bayern Munich rediscover their form, Hamann would favour them in a potential rematch against Arsenal, which could only occur in the final.
