Both teams are dealing with key injuries as they head into the match.

Maple Leafs’ Projected Lineup and Absences

The Maple Leafs’ projected lineup features Matias Maccelli, John Tavares, and William Nylander on the first line. Matthew Knies, Max Domi, and Easton Cowan are expected to form the second line, while Dakota Joshua, Bo Groulx, and Nicholas Robertson make up the third.

The fourth line is projected to consist of Michael Pezzetta, Jacob Quillan, and Calle Jarnkrok.

Steven Lorentz, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, and Henry Thrun are expected to be scratched for the game. Chris Tanev is out with a groin injury, and Auston Matthews is sidelined with an MCL tear.

Ekman-Larsson, a defenceman, returned to Toronto for the birth of his child; Thrun was recalled from the American Hockey League on an emergency basis.

Wild’s Projected Lineup and Injury Report

The Wild’s projected lineup includes Kirill Kaprizov, Ryan Hartman, and Mats Zuccarello on the first line. Marcus Johansson, Joel Eriksson Ek, and Matt Boldy are slated for the second line, while Yakov Trenin, Danila Yurov, and Vladimir Tarasenko are expected to form the third.

The fourth line is projected to consist of Nick Foligno, Michael McCarron, and Nico Sturm.

Daemon Hunt, Jeff Petry, and Robby Fabbri are expected to be scratched. Marcus Foligno is out with a lower body injury, and Bobby Brink is day to day with an upper body injury. Brink, a forward, has missed two games.
