Day three of the Cheltenham Festival delivered a dramatic finish with Ask Brewster’s victory in the Kim Muir. The race, filled with tension, saw jockey Shane Cotter guide Ask Brewster to a narrow win. Road To Home put up a strong challenge, but Ask Brewster ultimately prevailed.

Thursday proved to be a good day for the bookmakers. Several outsiders emerged victorious. Gina Bryce noted it had been a tough day for punters.

Prestbury Cup Update

Going into the final day of the 2026 Festival, Britain trail Ireland 10-11 in the Prestbury Cup. The Prestbury Cup is awarded to the country with the most winning trainers at Cheltenham. Willie Mullins is the leading trainer, with five wins, while Nicky Henderson has three.

Looking Ahead to Gold Cup Day

The Cheltenham Festival continues tomorrow with Gold Cup Day. The Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase is scheduled for 16:00 GMT. Other races include the William Hill County Handicap Hurdle, Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase, St James’ Place Festival Hunters Chase, and Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle.
