Luke Humphries Awaits Winner of Littler-Price Darts Thriller

Luke Humphries awaits his next opponent in Nottingham. The quarter-finals saw Gerwyn Price face off against Luke Littler. The winner would advance to play Humphries.

Price and Littler Battle in Quarter-Finals

Gerwyn Price hit his first maximum to begin his match against Luke Littler. He followed with two more T20s but missed his sixth dart. Littler then hit his second 180 of the night, capitalising on a Price mistake to hit D15 and break.

Littler began with a 180. He then hit a 140 to leave 81 but couldn’t take it out. He secured a 13-dart leg with D10.

Price hit his fourth 180 of the match and got down to 80. He then hit 20, 20, and 20 again. Littler was far behind. Price missed a double, but then nailed D5.

Both players traded maximums, before Littler took out 41 to claim a dozen-darter. Littler tried to take out 167 but narrowly missed the bull. That left Price with 152, which he completed. Price began with five more T20s but again missed the sixth dart. He then took out 151.

  • Littler ended Price’s hopes of an all-Welsh final last week, winning their semi-final 6-3.
  • Littler then beat Jonny Clayton 6-3 in the final to win his first night of 2026.
  • Price hasn’t reached a final since winning night two, though he has made back-to-back semi-finals.

Humphries Secures Semi-Final Spot

Humphries once again left 170, and once again he couldn’t take it out, leaving 74. He missed a match dart, but then got the double to win. That’s only his fourth win of the Premier League so far.

Humphries hit a 140 to leave 170, but it’s a poor visit and he left 114. He made a right meal of it.

Speaking before his match, Gerwyn Price said he felt confident coming off the back of the UK Open. He added that if he could get through his first game, he could ease the pressure a little bit. He acknowledged that Luke is the toughest one to play but that it’s a challenge he’s ready for.

John Part commented that Price was giving Luke a proper challenge and he thrives from it. Part also noted that there was sort of a smile on Luke’s face, and that he enjoys being pushed.

Stephen Bunting and Jonny Clayton also await in the semi-finals.
