Kylian Mbappé has been awarded the ‘Cinco Estrellas Mahou’ trophy, recognising him as Real Madrid’s best player of the season.
The French international continues to collect individual accolades, despite Real Madrid not winning any collective trophies this season, finishing second in the league.
Mbappé’s Stellar Season
Mbappé also recently won the Pichichi trophy, awarded to La Liga’s top goalscorer. He finished with 25 goals, ahead of Vedat Muriqi of Majorca who scored 23.
The 27-year-old Mbappé has now won the ‘Cinco Estrellas Mahou’ trophy for the second year running, after another vote by Madrid supporters during his second season in Spain.
Champions League Impact
Mbappé completed the season with 42 goals. Fifteen of those came in the Champions League.
He finished five goals ahead of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, his closest rival in the Champions League goalscoring charts, before the final between PSG and Arsenal.
The final takes place on Saturday.
