Tottenham Hotspur’s Dismal 2025-26 Season: A Season Review

Tottenham Hotspur’s 2025-26 Premier League campaign can only be described as a shambles, both on and off the field.

The season culminated in the team celebrating Premier League survival on the final day, after a victory over Everton.

Frank’s Struggles and Tudor’s Abrupt Exit

The job at Tottenham proved too much for Thomas Frank. He found the expectations and dysfunction a sharp contrast to the stability he had at Brentford.

Just when it seemed things couldn’t worsen, the appointment of Igor Tudor brought matters to a new low. The arrival of Tudor raised serious questions about CEO Vinai Venkatesham and sporting director Johan Lange.

Tudor’s time at the club was short-lived. He lost five of his seven games and then departed after just 44 days.

De Zerbi Arrives as Spurs Escape Relegation

Roberto de Zerbi replaced Tudor.

Spurs only just escaped relegation at the 11th hour. It was a reprieve that was more down to luck than judgement.

Reflecting on a pre-season prediction, it was stated: “It could not get worse than last season – or Spurs would find themselves in the Championship.”
