Tejasvi Dahiya Replaces Injured Raghuvanshi in KKR vs MI Clash

Tejasvi Dahiya stepped in to replace Angkrish Raghuvanshi in the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) versus Mumbai Indians (MI) clash in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.

The match, the 65th of the season, took place on May 20. Raghuvanshi was initially named in the playing XI for KKR.

Raghuvanshi’s Injury Forces Substitution

Angkrish Raghuvanshi sustained a finger injury during the first innings. He left the field midway due to the injury.

Tejasvi Dahiya replaced Raghuvanshi as the wicket-keeper. Dahiya was named as a concussion substitute.

Raghuvanshi has been a key player for KKR in IPL 2026. He has scored 422 runs in 12 innings, at an average of 42 and a strike rate of 146. Raghuvanshi has also hit five half-centuries in the tournament.

KKR’s Playoff Hopes on the Line

The match against MI is crucial for KKR’s chances of reaching the playoffs. They are currently in eighth place with 11 points. KKR have won five games and lost six out of 12.

A loss against Mumbai would eliminate them from the tournament.

Mumbai’s Performance and Position

Mumbai Indians have already been eliminated from the tournament. They are in ninth place with eight points. Hardik Pandya & Co. have won four and lost eight out of 12 games.

MI batted first and posted 147/8. Corbin Bosch was the highest run-getter with 32 runs, in a batting show where KKR bowlers restricted the opposition from going big.

KKR have a target of 148 runs in the clash.

Ramandeep Singh also replaced Raghuvanshi as a concussion substitute.
