Chakaravarthy’s Fitness a Worry for KKR
To keep their playoff hopes alive, KKR needs Varun Chakaravarthy fit and performing. The spinner, who missed the RCB match and played with a sore foot against GT, had a light training session before the MI fixture. However, he was seen limping, suggesting his recovery is not yet complete.
Matheesha Pathirana, who sustained an injury on his KKR debut, did not participate in the practice sessions leading up to the match.
Pandya Set to Return for MI
MI also have fitness concerns, with their captain missing the trip to Dharamsala due to back issues and instead training in Mumbai. Hardik Pandya, however, participated in MI’s training session and is expected to return.
There is little at stake for MI, but this match is important for Pandya, who has struggled since joining the franchise in 2024.
