Max Verstappen Competes in Nurburgring 24 Hours Race

Max Verstappen is set to compete in the Nurburgring 24 Hours race in Germany for the first time. The race commences at 2pm UK time on Saturday and concludes at 2pm on Sunday.

Verstappen’s Preparation and Team

Verstappen has already participated at the Nordschleife circuit this year to prepare for the event. He initially secured his first race victory with Britain’s Chris Lulham in March. However, the team faced disqualification due to exceeding the permitted tyre allocation.

The four-time world champion will be driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3, featuring Red Bull colours. Verstappen Racing includes team-mates Jules Gounon, Dani Juncadella and Lucas Auer. They will share driving responsibilities throughout the 24-hour race.

The Nurburgring 24 Hours Challenge

Verstappen’s team is considered strong, positioning them among the favourites. Endurance racing is unpredictable, especially with 161 cars competing simultaneously.

The event’s live stream begins on Saturday at 1.30pm, with the race starting half an hour later at 2pm and concluding at the same time on Sunday.

Looking Ahead

Formula 1 will proceed to Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix, featuring another Sprint weekend.
