Jamie Carragher, the former Liverpool and England defender, has joined Marine FC as an advisor.
Carragher, who made 737 appearances for Liverpool, will lend his expertise to the non-league club. The Bootle-born Carragher lives near Marine FC’s Rossett Park in Crosby, north Liverpool.
Carragher’s Role at Marine FC
Carragher has been following Marine’s progress to the sixth-tier National League North. Marine finished the 2025-26 season in 12th, 11 points outside the play-offs. The club aims to leverage Carragher’s contacts to support its continued growth.
“Marine is a proper community football club with good people involved and a clear vision for where it wants to go,” Carragher said. He added he’s pleased to support the club in an advisory capacity going forward, having enjoyed watching their progress.
Marine’s Ambitions and Recent Success
Marine has achieved two promotions in the last five years. The club also raised more than £300,000 in virtual ticket sales when they played Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup third round during the second Covid lockdown in January 2021.
