Leeds United’s Karl Darlow Secures Premier League Save of the Month

Leeds United’s Karl Darlow has been named the Premier League’s Coca-Cola Save of the Month winner for April.

The Whites goalkeeper produced a stunning stop in Leeds United’s emphatic victory over Wolves to earn the award.

Darlow’s Decisive Save Against Wolves

Darlow earned the award for his incredible reflex save to deny Wolves defender Ladislav Krejci at Elland Road. He tipped a powerful close-range header over the crossbar with Leeds already two goals to the good midway through the second half.

Darlow’s outstanding intervention helped preserve Leeds’ clean sheet on the way to a commanding 3-0 win.

First Time Winner

It is the first time Darlow has claimed the prize since the award was introduced in the 2022/23 campaign. He becomes the second Leeds player to secure a monthly Premier League honour this season after Dominic Calvert-Lewin landed the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for December 2025.

Leeds’ Recent Form

Daniel Farke’s side continued their strong end to the season in the weeks that followed Darlow’s impressive performance.

A spirited 2-2 draw away at AFC Bournemouth and an impressive 3-1 success over Burnley at Elland Road have since lifted Leeds up to 14th place in the Premier League table on 43 points.

Beating the Competition

The experienced stopper came out on top after public votes were combined with those from a panel of experts. He beat five other shortlisted goalkeepers to claim the accolade.
