Virat Kohli is set to play for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2026 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Raipur, on Sunday evening.
Kohli’s Form Heading Into The Match
Kohli started the new season with an unbeaten match-winning knock of 69 runs as RCB defeated SRH in the season opener. He made quality starts against CSK and RR in their next two games, but failed to convert the starts into big totals.
Earlier against GT, Kohli scored 81 runs in 44 balls as RCB chased down 206 runs comfortably. Against Delhi Capitals, Kohli remained unbeaten on 23 from 15 balls as RCB chased down a target of 76 runs by the seventh over.
Nightmare Outing Against LSG
In the previous match, Kohli opened the innings against LSG. The former India captain had a nightmare outing in the game as he scored his first duck of the IPL 2026 season.
Opening Again Against MI
Kohli is once again expected to open the innings against MI on Sunday.
