Kyle Schwarber made Phillies history during Friday’s game against the Colorado Rockies. Despite the team’s 9-7 loss and Schwarber’s four strikeouts in six at-bats, he reached a significant milestone.
Schwarber is now the 11th player in franchise history to hit 200 home runs. The Phillies acknowledged the achievement, posting on X: “Kyle’s 200th Schwarbomb as a Phillie heads to the 2nd deck 💣”
Schwarber’s Place in Phillies History
Schwarber is in his fifth year playing for Philadelphia. Before joining the Phillies, he played for the Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox and Washington Nationals. He is a 2016 World Series Champion.
According to Luke Arcaini, Schwarber is the 4th-fastest player to get to 200 home runs with one team in MLB history. He trails Mark McGwire (489), Babe Ruth (586), and Ryan Howard (658).
