Indiana Fever Trim Roster Ahead of WNBA Season Opener

The Indiana Fever have trimmed their roster, waiving three players ahead of their regular season opener against the Dallas Wings.

Fever Cut Three Players

Guards Megan McConnell, Jessica Timmons, and Kayana Traylor have all been waived by the Fever.

McConnell, sister of Pacers guard T.J. McConnell, had signed a training camp contract back in April. She played one game in her rookie season last year with the Phoenix Mercury.

Traylor, a native of Martinsville, Ind., also signed a training camp contract last month. 2023 was Traylor’s only season in the WNBA, where she played eight games with the Minnesota Lynx.

Draft Pick Among Those Waived

Timmons was selected by the Fever in the third round of this year’s WNBA Draft. During her senior season with Alabama, Timmons averaged 16.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

Fever Prepare for Wings Matchup

The Indiana Fever will face the Dallas Wings on Saturday. The game tips off at 1 p.m. EDT inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The game will be broadcast on WRTV 6.
