Fort Smith Streets to be Renamed After NBA Players

Two streets in Fort Smith, Arkansas, are set to be renamed in honour of Oklahoma City Thunder players Isaiah Joe and Jaylin Williams. The decision was approved by city directors.

Honouring Local Basketball Heroes

A section of North 25th Street will be renamed after Oklahoma City Thunder guard Isaiah Joe. A part of North 23rd Street will be renamed after his teammate, Jaylin Williams.

The Fort Smith city directors approved the changes on Tuesday night.

Razorbacks to NBA Champions

Both Joe and Williams are Northside High School graduates. They also both played for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Joe played for the Razorbacks from 2018 to 2020, while Williams played from 2020 to 2022.

They went on to win the NBA Championship with the Thunder last season.
