BCF Wolfratshausen Win German Senior Table Tennis Title

Bavarian teams enjoyed success at the German Senior Team Championships, securing a title, two silver medals, and a bronze.

Wolfratshausen Women Triumph

The BCF Wolfratshausen Senior women’s 60 team achieved the greatest success, with Karen Hellwig, Cornelia Bienstadt, and Claudia John winning the German team title. The team entered the competition as late additions.

Wolfratshausen faced TTF Unteres Zusamtal in the semi-final, mirroring a match from two years prior. Wolfratshausen avenged their loss in the Bavarian final, progressing to the final. There, they secured a 3-2 victory against Niendorfer TSV.

This marked Karen Hellwig’s fifth title win at the championship. Hellwig and Bienstadt, the reigning European champions in the Senior women’s 60 doubles, remained unbeaten throughout the competition. TTF Unteres Zusamtal finished fourth after losing the bronze medal match.

Gräfelfing Men Take Silver

The TSV Gräfelfing Senior men’s 60 team also reached the final. Berti Pilsl, Andreas Krämer, and Werner Schaffer progressed after wins in the group stage and semi-final.

In the final, TSV lost to DJK BW Annen 2-4, securing the German vice-championship.
