The Cincinnati Bengals have drafted Navy defensive tackle Landon Robinson with the 226th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. This was their second seventh-round selection.
Robinson’s College Career
During his time at Navy, Robinson played in 38 games. He recorded 153 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, and 14.5 career sacks.
In 2025, Robinson was named American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He also earned first-team Associated Press All-American honours after leading the Midshipmen with 8.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.
Draft Analyst Opinion
According to NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein, Robinson might lack ideal measurables. However, Zierlein advises not to ignore his game tape, noting that while Robinson is small by NFL standards, he is strong. Zierlein suggests that a low pad level is needed to neutralize his leverage and move him at the point of attack.
Zierlein adds that Robinson is typically quicker than opponents in slanting, stemming fronts. While his sack production might not translate, he is disruptive when active. Zierlein believes Robinson has the talent to secure a roster spot as a 1-technique in the right scheme.
Competition for a Roster Spot
Robinson joins a defensive tackle room that includes free agent additions Dexter Lawrence II and Jonathan Allen. He will also be competing with incumbents B.J. Hill, Kris Jenkins Jr., and T.J. Slaton Jr., among others.
Robinson will compete for a roster spot in the spring and summer.
