Carolina Panthers Draft Cornerback Will Lee III

The Carolina Panthers have added to their secondary, selecting Will Lee III. The Texas A&M cornerback was the team’s fourth-round pick.

Lee Joins Panthers After Time With Aggies

Lee, who stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 189 pounds, started for the Aggies for the past two years. Prior to Texas A&M, he transferred from Kansas State, having begun his college career in junior college in Iowa.

During his junior year, Lee recorded two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

What Lee Brings to the Panthers

The Panthers are hoping Lee will bring depth and competition to the secondary. He is described as an experienced boundary corner. His size and long arms are considered prerequisites for the Panthers’ defence.

The Panthers drafted Lee with the 119th overall selection.

With the No. 129 overall pick, the Panthers choose cornerback Will Lee.
