Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made significant changes to the team for their FA Cup fifth-round match against League One side Mansfield Town.
Kai Havertz is set to make his first start since facing Sunderland early last month.
The match sees Max Dowman become Arsenal’s youngest-ever FA Cup player, starting at the age of 16 years and 66 days. He is making his comeback from injury, marking his first appearance since playing against Slavia Prague in the Champions League in November.
Two 16-Year-Olds Start for Arsenal
Marli Salmon, another 16-year-old, also starts, joining Cristhian Mosquera and Riccardo Calafiori in defence.
Mosquera and Gabriel Martinelli are the only two players to retain their place from the midweek win away to Brighton.
Kepa Arrizabalaga starts in goal. Christian Norgaard, Leandro Trossard, Noni Madueke and Gabriel Jesus also come into the starting XI.
Myles Lewis-Skelly is suspended for the match. Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, Gabriel, and David Raya are not included in the matchday squad.
Young Talent on the Bench
There are three 18-year-olds named on the bench.
Jaden Dixon, a recent arrival from Stoke City, could make his first-team debut if he features. Midfielder Ife Ibrahim and forward Andre Harriman-Annous have already played for the first team this season.
Mansfield’s Line-Up
Mansfield Town are currently placed 16th in League One. They reached this stage of the FA Cup after beating Burnley away in the last round.
Mansfield have made three changes from the side that drew 0-0 at Rotherham in midweek. Kyle Knoyle, Stephen McLaughlin and Tyler Roberts all come into the starting lineup.
