West Ham’s impressive victory against Wolves has significantly altered the Premier League table, with Tottenham Hotspur now finding themselves in the bottom three.

West Ham have moved out of the relegation zone. Tottenham replace them.

West Ham’s Commanding Performance

West Ham have laid down a marker for their relegation rivals with a commanding win over Wolves. West Ham had to get three points and they did it.

West Ham have given themselves a chance of survival. It was a huge win for them that will send shockwaves through all of the other clubs and teams at the bottom.

According to former West Ham goalkeeper Rob Green, West Ham have found their identity. He said they have found what they are about.

Managers’ Reactions to the Match

West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo said the beginning of the game was tough, and Wolves made it difficult for them to find lines or stop them from breaking. He added that the goal came at the right moment for West Ham and the second half was really, really good.

He said they have an opponent that have solutions, and Wolves played well. The goal helped a lot and the half-time talk was totally different with the players being calm and listening.

Santo was positive about Valentin Castellanos and mentioned Jarrod Bowen hitting the post and Pablo playing well, highlighting the need for the strikers to feel confident and score. He said they are delighted with Konstantinos Mavropanos and it’s a matter of consistency with delivery being important for the players that attack.

He said it helps to have smiles and good energy, but it doesn’t change anything as they still have a hard time ahead of them. He added that they had to do their job and cannot control what happens in other stadiums and that next week it will be the other way around but they still have to do their job.

Wolves boss Rob Edwards thought his team started the game really well, particularly the first 10-12 minutes, but they could have been better with their final product. He said he was relatively pleased but there were things they could have done better.

He said going 1-0 down late in the first half was frustrating but not the end of the world, and they felt they could get back into the game. According to Edwards, the two quick fire goals killed them.

Edwards added that West Ham punished their mistakes and that killed the game. He noted that they made errors and were robbed of the ball from a couple of their best players, but there is still a lot to happen even after losing the ball.
