Alcaraz and Sinner Clash for Monte Carlo Title and No. 1 Spot

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are set to renew their rivalry in the Monte-Carlo Masters final on Sunday. The coveted No. 1 ranking is also at stake.

Sinner’s Path to the Final

Jannik Sinner reached his first Monte-Carlo final by defeating Alexander Zverev. He beat Zverev 6-1, 6-4, marking his eighth consecutive victory against him.

Sinner’s strong performance this season includes sweeping Indian Wells and Miami. He is now only the fourth man to reach the final at the first three Masters tournaments of the season. The others are Roger Federer (2006), Rafael Nadal (2011) and Novak Djokovic (2015).

Alcaraz Advances to Face Sinner

Alcaraz reached the final after eliminating Valentin Vacherot 6-4, 6-4 in his semifinal match. He concluded the match with a sublime drop shot.

Alcaraz vs Sinner: Head-to-Head

Alcaraz leads the head-to-head against Sinner 10-6. This will be their ninth final. Both players are aiming for their 27th career title.

The No. 1 Ranking at Stake

Sinner, a four-time Grand Slam champion, has the opportunity to reclaim the top spot. He must beat Alcaraz, the Monte-Carlo defending champion, to do so.

Alcaraz’s Season So Far

Alcaraz has secured two titles this year. These include the Australian Open, where he downed Djokovic and became the youngest man ever to win all four tennis majors.

The Monte-Carlo Masters final promises a thrilling encounter between two of the sport’s top players, with both a title and the No. 1 ranking on the line.
